Worked a little on the bonneville today
Ok... so I was finally able to get a little bit of work done on the bonneville. Not as much as i would have liked as I forgot my service manuals, but some.
Also worked on the lumina a little. Figured out that the shimmy was a bent rim. time for a new one. here are some pictures of the day (not as exciting as frankenbonne)
Console out of the Red car. Boy was that fun. Couldn't find a long 10mm socket, and for those of you who have removed the console know the necessity of this. Finally got it out with a 10mm socket driver and a clamp.
Trunk Tails. Left are the ones off the white car, right are the ones going on the white car. much less delam. Would have changed the leaking passenger one, but the red one had a crack in it. Someone needs to find a way to fix delam issue.
LTZ for the weekend while we try and locate two tires to replace the bald snows that were on the front. Unfortunately, the golds were not dished out enough to make it past the caliper on the front without a bigger spacer (still beed one for the 5 spoke) Tried to talk dad into the GPGT ones. too much work.

Tomorrow is Oil Pressure sending unit, Seat removal and exploration into removing the back, and brakes for the LTZ

Well, done for the weekend. Got the fender adjusted (what a pain) and Oil pressure sending unit back in working order (hopefully) Took it for a little test drive up and down the driveway until I squealed the tires and my mom yelled at me. Got .3 miles on it with solid oil pressure. Not the only issue is it smells a little rich, but it has a nice rumble. I have a list for next weekend and monday I am calling on insurance and getting plates for it. So hopefully i will have all the mechanical issues worked out by B-fest.

I wish i could, but it looks as if i might be working next weekend for part of it. I also have to get the lumina back to binghamton sometime this week to get it'* issues fixed. If I had remembered the title, I could have driven the car around more, but since i left it in rochester, I had to live with some driveway runs. More than enough to get me wanting it on the road. It will be on the road next weekend and some of the little issues left fixed by my father and he'll probably drive it. Also need to get info on where to get new carpet and if I should get new insulation, or replace it with Dynamat or something similar.
edit:
I added some more pictures from working on it. Also found that I might be a rarity in the Bonneville community. How many people have 3 GOOD sets of these:
