zzzzzeke fell into that clay bar type of hype!
With all the recent hype around "claying", I decided to join in. I'm usually very impressed with my Zymol Cleaner wax, but have also heard good things about Mothers. I bought the Mothers Gold Clay Bar kit. I expected a little more for all that work, but I suppose my car is never that dirty (being that the last time I waxed it would be about a month ago.) I could definately tell a difference from the plastic door panels down. I spent approximately 3 hours from the hand wash to the removal of the wax.
Here are some new pictures for ya!

CLAY
I JUST DID 5 HR JOB ON MY CAR. WASH..........PAINT CLEANER............CLAY.................POLISH.... .........WAX...........WHEW !! CLAY DID NOT IMPRESS ME TOO MUCH, BUT IT DID REMOVE SOME TINY BLACK "CRUD SPOTS" PRETTY WELL. USED ALL MEGUIERS PRODUCTS. I USE RANDOM ORBIT POLISHER TO PUT ON THE POLISH AND WAX AND REMOVE IT BY HAND. COME ON SUNSHINE !!

Yeah, when I use the 15" orbital I use it for removing the wax/polish and apply by hand. Of course that huge mass makes removal a 1 minute job -one sweep and the whole side is done.
Looks good zzzzzeke, but then again like you say it always does.
I guess the clay is probably the best for those who polish/wax only 2-3 times a year or don't do a 100% effert into applying and removing the wax.
Hopefully we can get another Minnesota show here in the next few weeks -I'm about due. I haven't done much for mods since the last show, just cleaning and normal maintenance (except for the oil, I've got 12,xxx miles since the last change/filter and I'm only using regular Valvoline, but it'* still clean and the oil pressure is still at 50-60 psi @ idle. I've got an appointment for a change this Saturday @ West Metro Buick-Pontiac in Monticello).
