Why Bosch plugs? Bosch has come out and admitted that their parts don't work well on waste spark ignitions like the 3800 has. And PLEASE tell me they were copper or Iridium, not platinum.

Um, NWASSEI, I can't reply to your PM since I don't have 15 posts, so here is what I would've PM'd you.
Platinum conducts heat, so the plug can cause pre-ignition, due to the plug being so hot it ignites the fuel before it fires, which can cause engine failure. With the mods you want, get Autolite 605 plugs. I have them in my car, and it runs great, and is what'* included in the Intense-Racing Stage 1 kit.

No, they'll be fine short term, but long term it'll damage the engine, especially with a smaller pulley which means more air and fuel in the engine. Definitely before any mods, however.

Ok thanks for letting me know. I had a 2003 cobra but ran the ngks in it. I didn't want to spend 6 buck a plug since I was just doing a tune up.
