Vince, here'* an rudimentary example of using a flash to light up the underside of the car. I'd really like to see what someone who knew what he was doing take a few shots with this technique.

Really.... Mine is 1/250
Well... mine is 1/200 when the 5400HS flashgun is MOUNTED on the camera without high-speed-sync mode, and with HSS on I can sync at any speed up to the camera'* maximum 1/8000. The newer Minolta 5600HS(D) paired with the newer Maxxum 7 body (and beyond) can sync at ANY shutter speed up to the camera'* maximum thanks to wireless hi speed sync.
