Nice writeup, yuck on the scotch locks though! I used to use them too.. everything is soldered now. Take a sharp blade and run it around the wire you want to tap into, then do it again about half an inch farther down the wire. then make a cut straight across connecting the two cuts and you can peel the wire protecting off, or grab it with some needle nose pliers. Then you can tin it and the wire you want to tap into it, and solder them together. Works MUCH better, don't spend as much time hunting down which scotch lock didn't break the plastic or fell apart.

Like I mentioned in the write up.. that is not the only way to do it. In fact there were a few things I did differently with mine than what I put in the write up, but I wrote it up the way I did so it was easiest followed and certain to work.
Honestly the write up could have simply said what supplies/materials you needed, and that you wire it to your parking lights with nothing else lol. It is such a simple installation and alot of it is common sense, figure it out as you go type work, but I figured I would spend the time to show every step for those who would rather not have to think about what they are doing and prefer to follow directions.
Just glad I could share this with others and I hope to see pictures of others Halos/Angel eyes soon!

I actually did what you just said, however I figured I would make the write up as user friendly as possible.. being not everyone has a soldering iron etc..

Yup I understand.. I am not a HUGE fan either, they just do the job lol.. but in this case if they would be a culprit for the lights failing, at least there are only 2 you have to check
