I am almost positive the spoiler is factory. There are about 6-7 Turbo Grand Prix coupes that are in Alexandria, St. Cloud and Long Prairie, MN (all towns with-in 35 miles of me) and only 1 doesn't have a spoiler and the ones that do all have the same spoiler that was optional on the 1990-1996? GP SE coupes.
You are correct, they only put the Turbo 3.1'* in the 2 doors in 89. They made 3725 2 doors that year. In '90 they made 3750 2 doors and 1000 4 doors. The drivetrain is identical between the 2 & 4 doors, but the STE has narrower tires and different struts and stuff for a smoother ride. The spoiler is DEFINATELY NOT factory. A lot of people add them, because it looks better with a spoiler, but they weren't factory. Like I said, there were only 4 options, HUD, Sunroof, Leather, and CD Player. And the 2 doors only had 3 options because they came standard with the HUD. I am also very suprised that there are that many turbo'* by you, that is suprising. I have only ever seen one besides the 2 we have.

Anyways, if you could see what performance mods he has that he wants to sell, that would be awesome, I am definately looking for them.

Yeah, I too am surprised there are that many. They (the coupes) were all red or black with tan interior weren't they? That'* all I've seen except for the one that was repainted in Bonneville green body/ghetto gold rims (which they all had from the factory).
As for the tire differences the coupe got the 245/50/ZR16 Goodyear gatorbacks, and the STE got the 215/60/VR16'* (unknown brand/model).

Two years ago I found a one-owner red 1989 coupe at a dealer with 47,xxx miles on it. It was absolutely perfect as it had been parked in a heated garage for the past 6 years since the guy who bought it new died. The guys widow couldn't afford to keep it any more and needed a new car (didn't want to drive the GP because she knew her husband didn't like putting miles on it).
Anyhow, I looked it over and took it for a couple test drives. It ran great except for the turbo had sooo much lag-time compared to my turbo dodges, but i attributed that to the car having sat for so long so I figured a few spirited runs would change that.
I had last looked at it on a Thursday after-noon (3 days after it was put on the lot for $4500) and Monday after I got approved for the $1000 loan (dealer had told me they'd trade the GP for my 1992 Bonneville SE and $1000) I drove back to make the deal. Too late. It had sold on Friday -I was pissed at myself for waiting so long as I knew it was worth a heck of alot more than that, especially due to the fact that it was in showroom condition.

They were all either red or black, but you could get either gray or tan interior, however the gray was rare, most had the tan. The STE however was available in the dark red or white, and I think they only had gray interiors.

Yes, and the STE'* rims were 16X7'*, while the coupe got 16X8'*.

It must've been sitting for a while because the turbo is very small and was designed specific for the car to eliminate turbo lag. Once the crossover cracks (they all do) then it will take a little longer for the turbo to spool, but it should still spool quick. In my STE the turbo spools almost immediately, whereas in the coupe it takes it until 2500-3k rpms to spool.

It sucks that you ended up not getting the car though.
