Default My 97SE gets Dual Exhaust!

I got my dual outlet Magnaflow and Ractive tips installed last week. Here'* the result!

The new Magnaflow, single in, dual out

The Magnaflow with the Ractive tips (ComfyCar, I copied your tips, but spaced mine further.)

Rear View

From this angle they look like the stick out, but they're actually completely beneath the bumper, and can't be seen at all from a top-down view.

Comfy, I spaced mine further expressly because you mentioned in one post that you wished yours were spaced farther apart. I scoured the forums like crazy to decide what to get, and you're one of the major SE posters who went to dual exhaust. It'* a bit of a challenge because we don't have the cutouts on the bumper. There'* a silver 97 rear bumper with cutouts on eBay for cheap right now, and I was tempted as heck to get it, but ultimately decided that if I wanted an SSEi I should have just bought one, and I should be proud of my N/A 3800 engine and just add the dual exhaust and call it what it is: An SE with a good choice of options. I love my car, and I've never felt as if it were underpowered. I drove a supercharged SSEi before deciding to buy my SE, just so I knew I'd be making an informed decision. I happen to like my cloth seat covers, and like the "sleeper" look of SE, because even stock it'* a great car. Yes, with my Magnaflow I do like my car a little bit better. But don't feel bad, I love the way the tips look on your car. I just took your words to heart and put the tips where the stock ones would go on an SLE or SSEi, under those red reflector things, but without the cutouts. It sounds great too, with the stock Cat and Resonator. I recommend keeping those stock and just going with a Magnaflow or Flowmaster dual exhaust muffler. It'* a great throaty growl, but not too loud at cruising speed. I will try to post some sound clips!
