They came blocked from Bob Dillon, and I believe he used JB weld.

Will, just had another thought. The UIM upper passages are merely filled with JB weld and a ste3l oil gallery plug. If Erick has decided he wants a wet manifold, drilling through there with a 5/16" drill will work nicely.

Thank god you did this. I'm doing mine this weekend. I have a coupla questions. How easy is it to screw up? Do you really have to remove the valve covers (I don't want to), What'* that clear J shaped tube for? What'* the best way to install the elbow without screwing up like you did. ( 
) Also, after I remove the upper intake, I need to clean it up good, remove the oil before getting to the hidden bolts for the LIM right?

You don't have to remove the valve covers. I just did that because I had a bad gasket. I forget what the J shaped tube is called, but it goes inside the upper intake manifold. You'll see the old one when you take yours off and then should know where to put it.
Its easier if you clean up the lower intake to find the hidden bolts, but I suppose you would be able to find them just by guessing before you clean it up.
