I got the woodworking. I have something similar in the works here, but it has moving parts.

I also got the woodworking. It is a good idea and worth a shot lol and will be much cheaper.

That will replace the factory insert in the L36 UIM, effectively making the runners shorter.

The design I'm working on will be variable. Stock length (long) or very short length, depending on either RPM or vacuum levels.

Don,

Are you concerned about that piece of wood soaking up PCV oils and other flammables, and creating a potentially highly combustible item inside your UIM?

no andrew i will smooth it whit putty and coat whit fiberglass resin if it look so far i got half of it in
