Andrew, though it isn't yours anymore I can understand how you feel. To some people a car is more than just a "point-a-to-point-b." As hard as it probably was to let it go in the first place, it would be harder for me to see it become the worlds first ashtray on wheels too.
Those after pics are pretty disgusting. I know people who smoke in cars and their cars are NOT like that. The interior of that car there is horrible.
I too used to detail cars. I started my own gig that I did for a few summers. MANY cars I detailed (most actually) were as dirty or much worse than that, especially the interior. I once got a car that had tan leather seats that were BLACK with dirt.
I agree that a few hours of hard work can clean it up to almost new. But whoever owns it now probably would never put that time in. I just don't know how someone could stand their car to look like that
