Default Tint for Christmas

Just a couple quick shots as I haven't had the time. backround, or lighting to get any good shots yet. Really happy with quality and only $140, using 15% LLumar tint film all around, including windshield strip.

Actually, legal in Florida is 15% back and rear sides, 28% front sides and strip across windshield. I didn't like the look of the different shades front and back, so paid extra (and cash) to get the 15% all around. I love it and my wife doesn't have to wear sunglasses now...

As 1993 SLE said, many people here have 5% limo tint, reflective tint, etc here. Not that you CAN'T get stopped for it, but they tend to be pretty lenient here, in my experience.

One of my main reasons for getting this tint is the high solar load in Florida, especially with the "greenhouse" windows of a Bonnie. I expect the A/C to finally be able to keep up with the heat next summer.

This tint film brand (LLumar) is tops and the installer is an artist, figuratively AND actually. No tint lines at the window tops (tint has appearance of stock - sort of) and all one-piece installs (i.e. back window). Also, I brought my tools to the place so that I could remove the back seat back and third brake light, but the guy there told me that he always does a complete install, which includes that service. So no sweat on my part AND a great finished job too! WooHoo!

That looks good. So you didn't put it on yourself? I was thinking about buying some and trying to put it on.

Best of luck to you. Even if you've been shown how, you'll screw up your first 5 attempts on each window. Trust me. I helped with the tint on both of my cars. I ended up doing the sunroof on the 95 by myself. This is an ART, not a skill. Particularly the rear window.

You'll waste so much money in scrap tint you're better off paying to have it done right. Then you get a warranty in case there are any issues later.

See, that'* what I was just thinking. I could get my uncle to help me. He'* been doing stuff like that for 20 years. I could practice on my truck, to. I've been wanting to tint the 81 anyway.

Too bad they aren't lenient around here. 20 % would be nice.
