Will, did you say you've used that liquid glass on your car previously? I wonder if thats why the clay is sticking more on your paint. :?:

I like the soapy water idea........I'll try that next time I wash it. I don't have any liquid glass on the car yet. About a third of the car was repainted about 6 months ago. Didn't wanna seal it yet. Until now, that is!

Maybe your car is just so darn clean it doesnt need to be clayed! :P How does it look with what you've done so far? can you tell a difference in smoothness?
Mine is just factory paint that was treated with Turtle wax Carnuba for the last 5 years. I really need a good buff job to get all the kids bicycle handlebar marks off the left side of my car. what the heck are those grips made anyway of that it leaves white streaks that dont come off!!!! :?

Hehe yeah I know what you mean my little sister hit mine the other day and left a 3 inch black mark down the side of my fender.....that BRAT!!!!!!!

The lower body cladding really benefited from the clay, as did the hood and bumpercovers.
I need to have the trunk lid and roof painted later this summer, most likely when they notch the bumper cover for the new stainless tips thats going on in a few weeks.
