This was one days work on my car, one very long day. We consumed a few too many beers, not to mention had a few too many spectators asking too many questions. We got the motor all the way out, and now are in the break down stage. I have a few pictures, starting with the motor disconnected, then the motor out, then some drunk pictures in a car with no motor. It was not as hard as I thought. It would seem that the person that owned the car before me started to try to take the motor out. The a/c system was already purged, the engine bay had been cleaned. The power steering was emptied, and the lug nuts were not torqued down. I now have the motor out, and am going to start by replacing some gaskets, intake and exhaust manifolds and valve covers. I have already replaced the thermostat with a 180 along with the gasket. My buddy is going to clean the carbon out of the intake, and TB. I am also sending the tranny to get rebuilt so I have a short window while it is gone to replace all of these parts. I also have a new fuel pressure regulator, and am thinking of some aftermarket performance parts, but need to do more research. Feel free to post any recommendations. Also if someone has a center core support (the one the hood latches to) for a 96-98 bonneville, mine was damaged moving the car.
