In fact, Thomas wasn't able to make the Memorial Day meet, but I believe I heard the word "Turbo" during one conversation Ben was having with a different member, so keeping Ben in check ain't gonna be easy

Great gathering! Lol! Arizona is honestly a "cool" place to live. Great scenery. I loved and hated it at the same time during the two years I was there. Glad to see gatherings across the continent!

Wow.... I just found this thread thanks to a PM from Bob on the AZ Grand Prix site
Yeah, it'* a little hot down here. We were actually close to setting a few high temp records for this time of the year. I went flying yesterday for the first time yesterday as part of my training, and we had to land early because I was getting airsick from all the heat and bumpy desert updrafts . I couldn't help it though... the planes we're in aren't air conditioned . However, I think I'll be able to survive.
Window tint is definitely on the "to-do" list for the Bonnie and my wife'* Skylark. Actually, the Bonnie is sitting at a repair shop as I type this... the A/C developed a leak that has been a real pain to identify. I'm driving our host familiy'* 2002 Grand Prix GT in the meantime. I'm proud to report that my car definitely has more pick-me-up than the GP.... so Doug and I did some good work to my motor.
Now I just need a tranny rebuild... I have the notorious 4T60E "chuggle" in hot weather, and it'* quite the irritation. Once I save up some coinage (or this tranny lets go completely), I'll get the Bill Wren 4T60 Special Edition Super Rebuild Kit and have this sucker beefed up!
And BTW... thanks for the excellent welcome, Bob! I had a blast on Memorial Day, and when my flying schedule settles down we'll tear up the drag strip!
