It'* Naked!!!!!!!
Well, there was a lot more blood this weekend as the red 93 SSE SC moves closer to retirement. Just so anyone knows, it is easy to remove the fenders and front bumper when the car is in the air and the wheels are removed and it'* in a garage. Unfortunately, my conditions were less than favorable. It was in the back yard, on a slight hill, with 4 flat tires, sitting 3 inches off the ground (exhaust was on it) with 5 inches of snow around it and the tires frozen to the ground so they couldn't be turned. Needless to say, it created a challenge. But I was victorious. There are no real during shots cause no one wanted to be out there with me the whole time, but here are some that I took during my breaks.
As it sat when I got home (minus the interior, I got that the last time I was home, but didn't have a camera)
So then I got to it the last time I was home and the interior ended up like this:
Then after the above mentioned struggle, we got this:
and
Once this was removed, we can see why she was a parts car.
Passenger body corner
Passenger side fender brace:
Driver'* side fenderwell #1
Driver'* side fenderwell #2
After some more stripping...
She'* starting to look like an SE...
And finally one parting shot of the motor
All in all, I lost some blood, but it made the interior match the exterior a little. And I didn't get quite as much as I wanted accomplished due to the fact the battery was dead and I couldn't move the last remaining seat to get to the bolts under it. Interior needs the carpet, seat, blower motor, shift assembly, wheel, sunroof and glass removed and the exterior needs the doors, trunk, and front bumper assebly and the engine bay needs everything pulled. My dad isn't keen on pulling the suspension on it though, but did say that since it'* started snowing, unless someone buys it or someone complains about it, it'* staying there for the winter.

Looks like a fantastic parts car and you weren't kidding about the rust. I've found it'* a lot more fun to take things off than it is to put them back on. Nice work. The death of one Bonne leads to the rebirth of many with the parts.

Cold wasn't too bad. You can ask Rob, (corvettecrazy) about my junkyard/working on cars attire. I have flannel lined pants and about 4 long sleeved shirts, a vest and a jacket.
There are more spots with rust that I didn't get pictures of. I hope to do that when I go home again and take more parts off it.

There is still a lot more to come off. As you can see, there is a tranny cooler, dual resivoir washer tank, hood is coming off, as well as doors, trunk, and as much glass as I can get without breaking it. and I will be attempting to get some of the suspension parts off it if I get a chance.
No one has confirmed that they'll pick up the motor yet, so that is still available. Will probably be til spring when, if no one takes it, it will be disassembled and parted out.
