Default Update 10-30-07! Work Whorage!

I have whorage! I've been working on my car, and the workload is nuts. I'm redoing the entire interior, from the trim, the weatherstripping to the seat leather, audio, and so on. I've done some aesthetic work as well. I have perhaps temporary, though still good, exhaust tips, a new grille, and "new" wheels from a 90'* Cadillac.

Seat work:

A friend of mine giving the old seat one last sitting:

My new grille! It'* ghetto-mounted because I kind of like this look and mounting method:

Wheel:

Engine bay:

Pieces of the interior:

I'm sitting on the new seat with my beating stick:

Wires

How to... uh...

The carpet & such:

More stuff, but without further comments unless questions arise:

Enjoy. Give me some comments so I know what to explain. Thanks!

Because I've finally gotten together my camera & card reader, I can take as many pictures of as many things as anyone here would like. This means I can finally sell my old wheels here. I've been having some trouble getting back in the sub-console vent system. It'* interfering with my transmission pulling thing. Aside from that, though, all is good.

You should make sure to install some grommets around your sub wiring where it comes through the fire wall. Other wise, you eventually gonna give your passenger a hotfoot when the insulation wears through and it shorts to ground... It'* also a potential leak point, so hit the grommets with RTV once they're installed.

I was just going to caulk them a bit with some rubber cement as well. Would that work just as well?

So, what did you do with the rest of your day?
Seriously, looks like you're getting a lot done.
Would love to do something like that some day.
Of course, it also looks like ALOT of work.

From the first few shots i thought you had OJ working on your interior. JK but looks like you've got a lot of projects going, looking good. I'd also like to see a shot of the whole car with those wheels.

I couldn't figure out why I would want to stick my hands into that terrible seat. So, I just cut it up. When I've got the car seats in and set down the car, I'll take lots of pics of it whole.

I too suggest getting some grommets for those sub wires. They are cheap enough at most parts stores and are a positive way to keep from damaging the wire insulation. Caulk alone cannot gaurantee that.

It does look like you've got a lot going on, but hey, it'* only time right?
