Well thanks A WHOLE bunch to Mremer to take the plunge and hack up his tail lights first for good clean clear tail light fun! Also thanks to Pontiac Dad for making sure it all worked out. 
Got my baby cleaned up just for these pictures, looking nice if I don't say so myself.
