thats funny right there...lol as far as they are concerned it is a 94 olds cutlass with a lowly 3100...
got some new stuff for the 442'* fuel system....aeroquip and earl'*
oh and the other boost and vacum gauge
so now we have 2 boost gauges, one electric sender oil pressure, and one electric sender coolant temp
now just need the oil and coolant gauges for the front...a volt gauge two 3.5 inch tachs and one 5 inch 200mph speedo
AN6 fittings and line for the dual fuel returns into one for the fuel cell... the pressure side is all Aeromotive and Earl'* with a bit of magnaflow...now the return side should be up to tech...
and here'* the AN-8 45* i needed for the new aeromotive fuel pump location...
and here'* the second boost/vac gauge...gotta collect the whole set still...
gotta love them procomp ultra lites
BTW thats 120$ in just the braided hose and fittings...extra 50$ on the gauge
i have yet to weld in the rest of the 10pt (well it will be a 12pt) when we also do the dash, so we really dont have a shortage of stuff to do.
3ft and 6ft 6an stainless with fittings for trans cooler, trans circulation pump and checkvalve manifold assembly (another 150$)
45* SAE flare to 6an adaptors for the fabricated radiator trans cooler, i have yet to buy the parts for the external land rover trans cooler with trans temp sensor.
all for this guy...it lets the rear trans be in neutral with the 3800 off while driving down the road, keeps you from frying clutches (used alot in RV/flat towing fwd cars) also note the high temp reflective thermal mat by CoolTec...the pump and checkvalve manifold have since been mounted and plumbed and look f&c%in sexy....
right side of the alum radiator
and since i put off any major pics of the 442...a few of the sexy hand made sheetmetal panels, no fiberglass anywhere on the car...
the Aeromotive 450 lb/hr high pressure pump, y splitter, and return line T
the right side...we havent figured out whether we want to cover these panels with the thermal mat...maybe just near the turbocharger...
newly painted VC and SI 3800 cover in HHO colors..
And the cool ****...
a 2001 GP GT L36 PCM and Harness from the seats forward....ALL OF IT!
this harness and pcm will be going into the front of the 442 with the 98 3800 SII that we will be dropping in once i'm done with my rebuild...
liberated it from the vehicle in just under two hours...none too gently...i got two injuries...
Al was alot more violent and bled all over the GP ...this is like 1/3rd of his battlescars...
believe it or not steel, gas, supplies and the new parts only brings the twin engine conversion cost to 4000$ so far....
this car is gonna be sooo much fun with two 300-400Hp engines, cant imagin two 500Hp beasts
just finished washing all the dust and grinding crap off of 'er and did a bunch of polishing, so more pics to come with the Tq star rims on it...
BTW we missed driving the 442! need to get that rear throttle cable finished...it'* no fun with just one engine
Regards, James and Al

If I ever feel the urge to do huge body/drivetrain modifications to my car, I know who I'm calling. This car is absolutely amazing, guys! There can't be more than a couple people in the entire country who have done these kinds of modifications to a modern car with computer engine management. I have the utmost respect for all the time and effort invested, and can't wait to see the finished product.
Keep it up. You're doing something truly original.

Thanks! we certainly enjoy the two engines as often as we can
went to the paradise road cruisers show at the shaumburg AZ...
...and we won the "most appreciated" car trophy!
was a great night, we werent expecting a trophy but when a gentlman (that was part of the 30 odd guys oggling the 442) said dont you guys leave!
i thought he was getting his buddy to come over...lol
suprized the hell outa me and Al when they said "and the winner of the most appreciated car goes to the 94 Olds 442, the car with two engines built by two nuts"
i just about choked on the Bday cake they were serving...
it was nice seeing peoples reactions to starting up two V6'*
PICS!
Yeah...it'* stock...nothing to see here folks...
the various 3800'*... the one on the silver stand is the Tall deck SI/SII Hybrid, orange stand has the 98 SII L36 that i'm rebuilding to go in the front of the 442, the other is a junk 97 SII block i'm using for my oiling experiments and fabrication work
Oh and before the show Al and I did some work on the 68 F250 camper special (the 442 tow vehicle/track truck)
we put my 86 F150 bench seat in er' (i have lots more pics of the 35+ years of dirt etc). the 68 bench seat had a spring that was a bit anoying...
Oh and the Bday present my old man got me at the HUGE! Wilcott truck stop in iowa...
genuine chrome plated nude chicks (yes they even have nipples!)
on top of an old can of pennzoil...these will be going on my 68 F250
i apologize the above pics are a little old...the 442 is even cleaner!
we finished replumbing the brake lines, the two proportioning valves were reduced to one now by the master cylinder with a T block and another in the rear, this has improved the brake pedal (fluid flows through 1 line instead of 2) but it looks like we will have to get the larger bore covette master cylinder because of the massive rear calipers, she still locks em up but the pedal is too close to the floor...
we also got rid of a couple old lines, the one brake line nolonger used and the 1/4 evap line which isnt used with the fuel cell
we finally painted the rear calipers and fronts all black and i spent some serious time cleaning the rims (look at the backside!)
and the painted covers in Hairy Hurst Olds colors (we gotta finish the front cover)...but it is handy having two oil fills...lol
btw ya like the temporary throttle rope?
taa daa! we also mounted a blue neon light in there real close to the trunk springs
I finished the wiring, 6 switches control the aeromotive fuel pump, trans circulation pump, rear cooling fan, rear pcm power, lights, and the rear starter (pushbutton). now we are working on the rear throttle cable and the aluminum 3 piece top firewall cover
I love this car

i try to keep all the threads updated as much as possible but we should be making good progress this winter on the rear turbo install, though i also want to get the SII together for the front as well
we will be putting another 01 GP GT harness and PCM in the rear, so i can Powrtune the SI with the turbo
i can only imagine how well the 442 will do with two turbocharged SI and SII 3800'*
much less my max effort SI/SII Hybrid
