this is what happens on a rainy day with a broken keyless entry

i did some fileing and i wrappen it in wire beacuse it was cracked then i wired this wierd washer to the broken hole at the bottom, then i melted that **** in there, and finally i melted black plastic around the wire to keep it all in place. pretty getto but it'* solid

Holy crap I didnt realize how thin mine was also!? Grr It better not wear thru that POS keyless entry controler :?

Guys, run that 8 digit part number on the fob through www.gmpartsdirect.com or that new ac-parts website posted here somewhere.

If it works...

My dad did something similar to his Olds Silhouette'* key fob that had the same problem. He stuck a wood dowel through where he wanted the hole and built up epoxy around the rest of the space, after he removed the dowel he had a new hole and a really solid fix. I came out really well.

I had exactly the same problem with my fob. Luckily i had some epoxy so i managed to fix it up. White/yellowish epoxy on a black fob, perhaps i could have added some black ink to the epoxy and it would have set in black...hmm....

Anyway, it doesn't look real pretty but i'll take an ugly fob that stays on the ring over a pretty one that i can't find any day!
