1999 bonne pictures car-gore and heavy mods to stereo
hey guys im new here but ive been an owner for about 3-4 years now this fine lady got me through college.
at a car show (which i actually won first place for the sound comp) next to my friend'* TGP
aftermarket is as follows
optima and 100 amp fuse inline with 4 awg wire
sony cdx-f5705x
JL component set (note the speakers are bigger than the door holes). i left the stock tweeters in so i didnt have gaping holes of course, but i cut holes for the new JL brand tweeters which blow away the stock ones (no offense pontiac)
kicker zr1000 amp......its big....its mean....its dusty
kicker L7 solobaric 15" nothing says loud like a big wooden box (3.9 cu feet ported exhausting on the amplifier for added cooling)
oh, i just found this video i have of the sub in action (yeah, its a pretty poor video, but its small http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/a/c/aco112/sub.mov free cookie to anyone who can determine what song that is *hint* it is a popular hip hop song circa 2005 concerning shoulders.
and finally the car gore
(summer 04)
i was dumb......and kinda messing with my girlfriend while driving.......i paid the price thankfully no one else was involved i just went off the road....backwards and put it up on the side. it was nearly totalled actually, but i salvaged the wheels and it was repaired. now its flawless with just a few scratches on the bottom of the car.
repaired pictures (08/20/2006)
not bad for just cleaning the wheels off. the repairs look great in my opinion and yes my car is filthy, and yes its because im lazy
this forum has been a bad influence on me as i now wish to undergo building a CAI and justifying it to my parents---perhaps ill take the fuel economy standpoint eh? (im a college grad that works at the mall....so im broke) wish me luck

what ever you do dont listen to this white curse thing.
welcome deft, glad you put her back together.
Then again these vultures would have found it in a scrap yard by now.

Wow!
Seeing that wreckage almost brought a tear to my eye. Glad to see you put the work in 'er and got her back on the road. She looks great!
I second that. We can't help it that we've got the best looking color on the road IMHBAO (In My Humble But Accurate Opinion)

I like the work, nice taking a prize for sure no matter what the level of competition. Some friendly suggestions though to take your existing equipment to the next level. 90% of any car audio setup is what you do with your equipment. Taking time and finding the best possible way to setup equipment will amaze you as much as $600 speakers.
Cut the door panels, or fiberglass them to hold those 6 1/4 speakers nicely. You're killing a lot of the sound by having an obstruction infront of the driver.
And the tweeter location seems very peculiar to me. If you've got nothign to do, maybe mount them up at the bottom of the pillars.
Also that power wire idea is similar to mine, but it seems somewhat loose, and like it'* been hit by the hood once or twice with that tape. Some secure mounting goes a long ways to peace of mind, and fights freak accidents!
