OEM Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist Installed
This is a OEM GM Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist system installed in my car. This system was never offered in a Bonneville OR a Pontiac Car for that matter, that being said there was some modification of the wiring that needed to be done to get the system working correctly
The system uses 4 sensors that are installed in the rear bumper to give the driver warning of objects when driving in reverse. The display is in the headliner, with 3 LED'*. I mounted the Module in the OEM location as the Large GM Cars, Deville, Lucerne, Park Ave Etc.
here are the pics
after lots of planning and measuring
Drilling of the bumper
Sensor trim only
Sensors assembled
Bumper reinstalled
Inside the wiring is easy
Module mounted in the OEM location, the Holes in the body are pre drilled
After your connections are made, time to cut the headliner.
Here is the pattern needed to cut from the donor car
and traced on the Bonneville Headliner
after cut out the LED telltale installed
and the Telltale trim bezel installed
and the view from the rear view mirror
questions and comments appreicated
