My dad took some door hinges, bent them to create about a 60 degree angle, and cut a notch/rectangular hole in them. It'* secured to the car using tie-down ratcheting straps, and these door hinge brackets conveniently fit between the top of the door frame and the roof. It'* rock solid.

I'd have to say this is my all time favorite.
Probably this is right now, better ones to come this summer.
