We used to allow self nominations and I think we've had one winner from a self nomination, but it was decided best that cars get recognized by other members

Another reason we did away with the self-nominations was because of COTM expanding to include ALL GM vehicles. And with only 10 poll options, that can get filled quickly with just self nominations. That wouldn't be fair to others.

Dan has a very good article on COTM.
