Yes, E85 has a higher octane rating than gasoline and allows me to run higher boost levels without having to worry about detonation. The only problem is that I have to run like 20% more E85 than I would gasoline. So no E85 for me until I buy larger injectors as mine are already almost maxed out.

For us in the Northeast, it isn't E85, it'* Fed mandated 10% ethanol blend. And that ethanol is bought wherever at the cheapest price. Worst freaking thing they ever did for an engine and everything else, tank to injectors.
