Hey now be nice, I plan on getting the monte i got right now up to 500hp+ once she'* not a daily driver & I get the money to do it so they're still fast if you mod them right & honestly for a while GM neglected the Monte Carlo for some reason around the 4th gen years & didn't give it much horsepower from the factory so actually the montes of recent years are faster then most of the "back then" 4th gen years stock lol

Okay so anyway moving on lol, awesome pics Brian! That was a sharp looking monte. What class was it in on your track? Sportsman, street stock, or what? My monte was in the street stock class at my last track but at the new track it'll be in the lil bit faster sportsman class. I lovee ur bros go kart too, go senior

It was called Detroit Iron at Barberton Speedway which was pretty much the equivalent of sportsman.
The Beretta was street stock. Oh that poor little 4 cylinder.

Yeah I remember you telling me the Beretta was 4 cylinder but I thought it was a hornet bcuz Jamie & a couple of my friends race 4 cylinders in the hornet or junior hornet class, asphalt tracks are different apparently lol

At Barberton there were three classes:
Street Stock: Completely stock, just stripped of all glass, lights, and had safety equipment added.

Detroit Iron: "Sportsman" Body panels were still stock but had a full roll-cage, fuel cell, and motor built to spec.

Late Models: Full template body and stock car chasis

I didn't see that earlier some how but anyway I know around here it'* not just for the fun of it for a lot of people. Some people are freakin terrifying to race with as you get further up in ranks. There are only like 2 people in my class that will tear u to shreds if you are in their way & I'm like omg calm down before you freaking kill someone! It is quite intense around here lol

Its that way at every track it just depends on how well managed and regulated it is as to how much it shows. Barberton was pretty bad with fights breaking out every now and then and revenge being taken on the track (kinda like the stupid Edwards-Keslowski-Harvick battle in NASCAR). One track here in Ohio (an asphalt) has fights almost every week and the people who go to the race go expecting (and kinda wanting) to see a fight. Its almost a part of the weekly entertainment for them
