I knew a kid in high school that had a minivan with such bad rear shocks that he could alternate gas and brake going forwards and get the rear tires off the gound like that. Same thing when the shocks on my buddies old tempo went. You could push down on the trunk over and over and get the rear tires to bounce off the ground.

i seriously thought this was going to be a car with enough umph to do a wheelie in reverse...but that car was merely hopping...i know a guy here that has an accord with hydraulics who could do the same thing if he was willing to abuse his car...

all he did was had the emergency brake on while he was in reverse... we used to do that with a 94 buick century station wagon everyone thought we had put some tweaked out **** in it... and of course eventually we killed it

I went out into a desolate parking lot with my Bonne and just for the hell of it, because I really have never tried it before, floored it in reverse a few times. Pathetic
I could believe how gutless it was. Couldn't even get a squauk out of the tires, let alone make the back end rise up. I really felt like a 4 cylinder rear wheel drive car when you punch it from a stop.
Of course, I know that it has much better traction in reverse with all the weight transfered over the drive wheels.
Sort of like the reverse of a rear wheel drive when you try to accelerate those in reverse, they smoke the tires rear easy.
Now I have a much better appreciation for how traction limited front wheel drive cars really are.

Ok so when I get the water pump replaced in the Lumina (91 Euro 3.1 BEATER)
Im going to try it, if i break sumthing OH WELL, seriosely i drive this car less than 5000 miles a year and the only reason I keep ot is cause it has grown attached to me, and I just love being able to park right next to those people that park over the line and not really care when I get a door ding from it (but I would never ding a door im just too anal about these things). But if it werent for my mom backing her Suburu up into the LR door and the subsiquent $1000 insurance check I wouldnt have the Bonne today (down payment)
