ok update on forks.
I found out how to adjust them! Not too hard to do.
State inspector comes next Thursday for the inspection.
And just dropped about $200 in paint supplies for paint job.
Its going to be a Tri-coat or three stage job however you want to call it. Black/dark purple/dark purple flake/pearl coat. Wait thats like a 4 stage.
I'll post pics as I'm painting it.
Oh and Mustang seats have rave reviews. So does the one Venom spoke of.

Wow Todd.... very very VERY nice lookin project... cant wait to see it finished
btw not to sway off course but whats the difference in a hypercharger, and a supercharger???
the hyper-charger looks like a cool blower without forced induction, is this correct?
i only ask because a friend got a late 80s Harley 1200cc with what looked like Kevins hypercharger intake, but imprinted on it was SUPERCHARGED... so he claimed the bike is supercharged, I argued that there was no drive belt for the rotors but he got mad and was all like so we just dropped it, long friendship not to be tampered with so im looking for some insight... then back on course with updates to the beast

Thanks TL!
Unless your buddies bike had this on it:
Eaton M45 superchargers <-------actual supercharger made for motorcycles
He did not have a 'supercharger' on his bike. He may have had a brand of 'hypercharger' on it named supercharger.
Thats all I know for now.
Do a google search on hypercharger vs supercharger and you will even find a whole discussion on a V-Twin forum.

Alright guys, I started to paint it tonight!!
Here ya go more photos. The paint is going to be a 4 stage job. First up
Finishing wet sanding the tank: Remember the nasty dent?
The black you see in the primer is actually a dust you apply over the primer before you block sand. It shows the orange peel as you sand it goes away and this way you will know when to stop sanding.
quick shot of my bike and my brother'* bike. Oh guys BTW sorry its NOT a 84 as my brother corrected me. His bike is a 1994.
Ok here I brought all the body parts to his other body shop for prep and first coat of paint.
Ok first coat applied. Its called 'Ruby Red Metallic':
Photo of second stage coat. Some sort of purple my wife and I picked out. I had just taken it out of the mixer:
Second stage coat:
the camera really does not do it justice:
Shot of me getting all glassy eyed painting. Long day at work. But tell ya what this is really fun painting this bike!! My mug shot:
Shot of second stage second coat. The paint has a really nice blue tint to it because of the blue flake in the paint:
Just a little glimps for you guys to see what is going to be put in at the final stage when I'm ready for it.
again photos just don't do it:
Final shot for the night:
Tomorrow will be the 3rd stage: Black!
Stay tuned.
Todd

I thought the color turned out way to purple so I'll give it a season and repaint it next year with some other combo. My wife loves the color so I'll be rolling with it for now.
Thanks for looking guys!
