Well, were they going for least aerodynamic thing they could get? I spose you could try that with a hummer....
Anyhow, one fast truck and a cool show piece. Imagine if it was street legal and someone was tailing you! Just blow off some fire right onto them!

Plus with a jet engine it would take a long time to spool up (think of it like a big, inefficient turbo) so that would kill most of the 60' time.
