Default Found something pretty interesting..

I was looking under my CTS the other day to check and see if the differential was leaking any fluid because it'* a common failure on the CTS, and i"m having whining rear end problem. While down there I noticed something pretty cool and rare on modern vehicles. anyone see anything pretty cool down there?

A REAL dual exhaust!

Now lop those stock mufflers off and put some good ones on!

I don't think he is talking about the true duals, I think he is getting at the cats being in the downpipe?

Bonneville92V688 got it right on. I thought it was pretty cool that it has true dual exhaust from the factory. Most cars now-a-days don't have that. All of you made interesting points though.

I guess I would only assume that all longitudinal engine'* with RWD would work this way. It would get pretty sloppy if they tried to cross the exhaust pipe over the driveshaft. Anyone have examples of a longitudinal engine with a crossover pipe over the trans?
