That color is close to the "Black Cherry" that came on the cars, The real Black Cherry is in the picture where it was raining, the other Cougar behind ours is Black Cherry (And that car was featured on American Muscle Cars when they did an episode on Cougars.) Originally our cat was "Canary Yellow" which was an almost off white-ish/pale yellow. It was painted red before we got it.
Thanks for the complements, I'll keep you guys updated on modifications, though aside from paint, the 428 and a few minor things she'* about done.

The tires are the same, except the rears are wider The old rims didn't come on a Cougar, those are '69 Mustang Rims IIRC. The rims on the Cougar now are '67 Cougar ONLY rims. Dad found a Company that remakes them and had them made. He had to get new rims anyway, to fit the Disc brake that are now at all four corners.
The cat also now has a chin spoiler:
Dad is also working one rebuilding the hideaway lights/grille assembly. Been having problems with them working. In the long term.
And I just got off the phone with my dad a minute or so ago, it looks like She'* gonna be 302 Powered within two weeks!
Remanufactured 302 Longblock, hasn't been fired up since it was rebuilt. Thats a $1300 motor, dad practically stole it at 1k less
He sent in the 289 heads to be ported and polished, and since they are the same as the 302 heads those will go on the 302. He already sold the heads that came with the 302. And the 289 will be going to the same guy.

A show car has to grab your eye and stand out from the rest of the crowd. The color it is now does that and looks great. You paint it white and it will just be..well.....another white car.
