What could burn up a coil?
I had no spark on two cylinders off the same coil. I replaced the coil with a known good one from my '93 parts car. The GP ran fine for a minute, but then it started missing badly again
That coil burnt out also, and I once again have no spark on those two cylinders.
Can a bad plug wire burn out a coil?
only other thing I noticed is that the hole for the spark plug was full of oil, and the plug wire boot was cut all the way up, so the connection was covered with oil. Can that oil somehow cause the coil to burn up?
Could it possibly be the ICM, can that burn out a coil?
I got pretty much all the oil out of the hole for the plug, and I am going to try one more coil and hope that it works. If that one dies also, I will not try again untill I can figure out for sure what is causing this
