I use to be big into Beetles (had a few before I joined the Army). He just about hit top speed in that thing. Much faster and the Bettle'* natural wing shape (almost perfectly flat on the bottom, round on top) takes over and they want to fly.
It don't take much to mod a Bug engine to do some incredible speed, considering the lack of body weight on them things.
And imagine what his time would have been had he not wasted all that energy on the wheelie!!
