ok, ok it'* not mine... but it'* the 3rd member of our 3800 powered family :o
2005 impala LS with 69K
it may be the gearing, but it seems a bit slower than my 95 SSE which surprised me.

its definitely a different noise. more throaty, less whiney. i like the exhaust note a lot better. but we drove the bonneville to pick it up, and my dad had it floored on the on-ramp and seemed to be pulling away from me in the impala (also floored)
its snowing out though, so i havent really been able to judge it very well.

I, of course, approve
It seems slower because of a few things. Number one, the u-bend. Dragging, the u-bend really slows you down because it VASTLY restricts your airflow at the high RPMs. Number Two, for some reason, '95s (and '96s) happen to be much quicker than any other L36. Don't ask me why, I've just noticed it...
Enjoy it

The 92-95 NA Bonnevilles used higher shiftpoint 4T60E transmissions, and the 96-2005 NAs had lower shiftpoint 4T65E transmissions. The 95 is the quickest naturally aspirated Bonneville, stock for stock.

I have always liked the Impala LS'*, gotta have the spoiler, nice wheels and fog lamps, without I would agree, they dont look right at all. One issue I also have is no dark interior, all the light tan color for the most part.
