Shame on GM for discontinuing their RWD BOF. I originally got the Marquis because I liked the styling better, and quality seemed a little better than the Roadmaster. Of course, that'* the only Ford that'* got such quality. I've got 340,000 km with the original heater core, rad, alternator, water pump, etc etc. Yeah, I have replaced some door lock actuators, and I've gone through 2 wiper motors. However, I don't think other Ford products come near the quality of the Marquis or other GM products.

Comparing the Marquis with the Lesabre, I actually prefer the Marquis. The interior of the Lesabre feels really cheap. That said, it'* easier to service than the Marquis with the exception of the tranny and the ACC belt (shame on GM!)

I've always had good luck with Fords. When the 3.8 SC was known for having the head gaskets fail I had know prob.I liked the Escort GT.Although it has the Mazda 1.8. I also had 1 of every model line of the escort Pony to GT.Wagon to 4dr. The 4dr was a Tracer.New GM'* just don't interest me. I boght a '92 Grand Marquis. I liked alot.
