2.84 vs. 3.06 Gears

2.84 vs. 3.06 Gears
Well while at bills house this past weekend, Pat (1993 SLE) and I did a test to see how big of a diffrence the gears make off the line...
I have the 2.84
and Pat has the 3.06
We both have Intakes and thats all the upgrades we both have done...
We also did a test at highwa speeds, its not as much as a diffrence as off the line.
We started at 50mph and went to 90 or so...
in second gear we where neck and neck, as soon as 3rd hit he started pulling away..
OK well here is the video.

You mean 3.06'*

I think gearing makes a hunge difference while n/a.
There is a L36 regal that dropped his time considerably going from 3.05 to 3.29.

I don't know why but the 2.84 is horrible in the L27, fine in the L36, and actually pretty good in the LN3. But the L27 seems painfully slow with that gearing.
