I went outside to change my oil today for the second time since I got this car. I found out that my drain plug is stripped and I cant get it out. I had wondered if it was close when I changed it the first time. So what do I need to do? New oil pan? Think the bolt stripped before the pan did or they both are stripped? The bolt is all the way in but it just spins without backing out. How difficult is it to replace the pan?

you have to remove the oil level sensor first with that one. About 20 bolts. I dont think you have to take off the starter such as with the earlier motors. Make sure it is a decent torque wrench.

No. You shouldn't have to remove the pan.
You will have to install a Heli-coil insert. Go to the local Napa store and explain what happened. They will sell you the appropriate hardware.

You will have to remove the bolt first. Pry it out as hard as you are able while simultaneously spinning it counter-clockwise with a socket wrench.
After it is out, you will drill it out and tap it using the special tap that comes with the heli-coil kit. You will have to go with an oversized pan drain bolt when done.
Make sure to flush out any metal filings after done before you start it up.
