Purgatory is an actual town name. I believe they named it after Venom moved there.

Hiya Riv guy..

1.5 ... whatcha wanna know? Overall it's the same as 1 or 2, just tougher to scan because many scanners don't know the language because they were designed for 2 with a 2 connector not 1 with a 2 connector.

Once you pick up a scanner...you'll be all set.

Beyond that.. you have probably the heaviest car, best year for the S1 motor and a styling that was and still is...all it's own.

thanks guys! appreciate it!

the outside and engine and interior is clean..but as we just found out...its really rusted from sittin around the first 12 years for the first guy who owned it. The nasty winters of pittsburgh,PA and the little driving done kinda killed it. i bought it Dec 06 with this 31,000 miles on it. thats a lot of sittin. lol theres now 63k. 50/50 hwy/city

as for the OBD 1.5 is it as easy of a setup as it seams? or is it was more complicated?
if its easy..it should just be this...

OBD2 16Pin to DB9 Serial Port RS232 OBD 2 Adapter Cable - eBay (item 250431918361 end time Jun-24-09 23:49:19 PDT)

+ this

serial port to usb, Computers Networking, Electronics items on eBay.com

plus an OBD 1 software

is this correct?

ive seen thiss..
Amazon.com: Actron CP9145 AutoScanner Diagnostic Code Scanner with Live, Record and Playback Data Capability for OBDII Vehicles: Automotive

but i dont think it tunes...or scan KR(which is the biggest reason for wanting one)
i would love to drop my pulley size. but after talking with some guys i was warned that u can chip a piston head if not scanned for KR.

by the way...sorry for posting the tuning info in this section..im not really sure where to post things yet lol

I'll let the gearheads tackle your OBD 1.5 questions. I think GM should have waited for 2.0. Think of yourself as a Vista OS owner waiting/hoping Windows 7 is gonna make things all better.

Purgatory is nowhere near or like Pittsburgh ROFL! It's a Hamlet with no official name. It has 260 residents. It is situated in Susquehanna County within the Township of Silver Lake. It is the most sparsely populated county of PA in the NorthEast section of the state. We dont even have mail service. We pick our mail up at a Post Office designated Brackney, PA. The town disapeared almost 100 years ago with the oaks and maples that were clear cut. But a bar and a Post Office remain to serve several Hamlets in the area to small for one. We have no Police, no street lights, no mail delivery, no trash pickup, and in the winter rely on County plows to dig us out when they feel like getting to us. I heat with wood and have backup electric thats used often. To us, Possum is the "other white meat". Here's a pic of ny driveway.
