Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum, and hopefully soon, I'll be new to the Bonneville scene. I've put money down on a Bright Red '96 SSE, high miles, but in pristine condition. As soon as I sell my Turbo Grand Prix, I'll be able to snatch this one up!

A little about myself...My name is Kyle, I'm from New Ulm, Minnesota, and I'm completely car crazy. I'm going to be 23 next month, and by the end of August I'll be owning my first place...hence, why I'm switching from a high performance FWD car to a "family" car.

I've owned quite a few cars in the past five years or so, and if you'd like to check them out, go to www.fquick.com/krenzy and check out my garage.

Not sure what else to put down, just trying to meet people who knows these cars really well, and hopefully make some friends in Minnesota!

Oh I will! Thanks for the welcome! I'm so pumped to get this car. Girlfriend told me to think about a family car, since we've been together for 5 years, and wanna get married soon, I think she's right. But I told her if we get a family car, I get to pick it out! LOL.

I haven't seen more than one Bright Red SSE before...is it pretty uncommon or something?

LOL good point. I've had that happen when I bought my Camaro, and then my TGP...only problem was no one else could find a TGP in good enough shape so they just found SE's or GTP's lol.

I've just never seen a Bright Red '96-'99 with black leather interior.

Alright, I'm up for re-introduction. I finally bought the '96 SSE I was looking at. Here's some pics and info:

1996 Bonneville SSE, 3800, not an L67. Black leather interior, sunroof, HUD, brand new tires, Cassette deck with equalizer, steering wheel controls still work..kick ass! BRIGHT RED!!!! And best of all.....she's immaculate! Owned by an older couple from 88,000 miles on...she's got over 200K on the clock, but with a new tranny and some recent engine work done...injectors, manifold work, the normal stuff.

Problems: one small dent on the front driver's side fender, a few scuffs, driver's side seat has some scuffs but no tears, various rock chips, and the radio display doesn't light up from behind like it should. Other than that, everything is mint!! Basically, the best '96 you can find for $2500!!!!!!

Let me know what you think!

Great looking find! It's really clean for a 96. I call that color "Arrest Me Red" Wait, my red got me arrested

the 96 was the last year of that bright red. With the 96 being the revised body style, your are is among the very very few in that color
