Default 1996 riviera Blows fuel pump fuse

My riviera keeps poping the fuel pump fuse. We took the fuel pump out of the car and tested it . It is fine, Fuel pump relay has also checked out. Any ideas is appreciated. Car drove rought to the shop and has now died.

When you tested it, did you check to see how much current it was drawing? Was it close, or over the rating of the fuse? Are there other things that the fuse protects besides the pump? If the pump is fine, start checking some of those items.

Some of the wiring is under the car as well as inside. The wiring can be pinched and partially grounding. Inspect all the wiring possible, looking for any rubbing or pinched areas.

ICM gets power from the same fuse.
Is it supercharged?

Supercharged engines have a 2 speed fuel pump controlled by a fuel pump control module. A faulty module might blow the fuse.
