Default New Signature Requirements (effective two years ago)

Due to activity levels and out of courtesy to all members, please make sure your signatures comply to the following requirements:

1. No more than one single pic. This single pic must be no more than 150 pixels tall by no more than 600 pixels wide and less than 100kb file size. If you have multiple pics, combine them into one single file.

2. If you run a pic in your sig, you are allowed no more than 5 lines of text above or below (or a combination of the two) the pic, including spaces.

3. If you don't run a pic, you are allowed no more than 10 lines of text in your signature, including empty spaces.

Example signatures:

With pic
Quote:
Signature line one text

Line two

Line four
Line five (Prefer year/model/trim level)
(these lines of text can be in any order, either above or below the pic)

Without pic
Quote:
Line1
Line2

Line4
Line5

Line7
8
9
10 (Prefer year/model/trim level)
You are encouraged to include text within your image or use links as some members do.
Complying by this policy will greatly enhance the overall user experience for members of the Forum.

Moderators will notify users who's signatures are out of compliance by PM'ing them a link to this topic. Please treat them with courtesy. A negative response to them or a lack of response or compliance will result in an Admin deleting your signature.

Now let's see just how creative we can get. Let's get some sharp signatures with good content going, and if you don't know how, ask for help!

Time to remind everyone. A few sigs are pushing over the limits.

Moderators are hounding Admins. Whippings and beatings commence soon.

As of NOVEMBER 1st, 2007, this policy has been changed slightly:

All requirements remain the same except the file size limit has been increased from 50kb to 100kb

This change has been edited in the original post in this NOTICE. Have fun with a little more high resolution.

(also keep in mind that up to 11% of our users/visitors are still on dialup, and that higher res pics slow their page loading times)

All;

I'm tired of repeat violations and or ignoracnce of our very generous signature requirements. If you are notified by any BonnevilleClub staff to resize or reduce the content of your signatures to meet Site Policy and you do not, within 24 hours your signature will be removed and you will not be permitted to have the option of a sign at the discretion of the Staff.

This is not a difficult rule to follow, so make an effort to stay within the guidelines.

New members will be shown some leniency.

I've been seeing many sigs recently belonging to people that should read this... so please do.

Hello,

I was trying to edit my info and also put a signature in, but got the following message:

kevo, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

May I please have permission?

Thanks!

Hi Kevo, please try now.

Let me know

I will have to look at the previous policies and decide if we want to use them or refine them.

Hi again! My signature now shows up, which is really all I was hoping to do. However, I still don't have permission to edit. Still, it now shows yay!
