Hopefully this is the answer for all those people with warping elbow issues. Luckily the only car I've ever had that problem with was the SLE, all of my other cars have no problem with their plastic elbows.

Oh wow, somebody finally had some sense and made an aluminum elbow, I said a long time ago to somebody that I wonder why nobody ever got on a CNC machine, and cut some aluminum elbows, glad to see Dorman did what GM should have done years ago!!
My old elbow held up over 134k, so I think the one I just put on will last, but I'll recommend this over the old ones any day, as long as they do not have the same ole crappy o rings that they used to have.

I think even more than the O-rings, the expanding and shrinking of the plastic when it got hot was an issue. I wouldn't think you would have the same issue with aluminum.
