91 stalls
I have a 91 bonneville (3.8L) that I use for commuting to work. The car has extremely low milage for the year, I had bought it off my grandma so for 20 years it saw only short trips, which probably hasnt done it any good. I freeway drive to and from work, and it runs perfect it just floats along. But it seems if I'm in town making a hand full of stops, (getting gas, shopping) it starts to run rough and will want to/or will stall when I may be moving slow(backing out of a parking spot). If your in a spot where you can get on the gas, it seems to clear its self out, but it will still hesitate and want to stall. Anyone have any thoughts on this, thanks for any help

When is the last time you changed spark plugs? Wires? Fuel filter? Also, check for vacuum leaks in the engine bay. The rubber hoses on a 91 may be starting to crack.

All of those things are good to go. The car was always maintained, and in the year and a half I have had it I have done the same.I know it has had a new coil pack (few yrs back) but other than that nothing than regular maint. It gets good mpg so I dont think anythings to outa wack.

I'll give that a try and see. I'm thinking it could be a temperature thing. When I drive to work it heats up to operating temp and runs perfect on the freeway, same thing on the way home, normally no starting and stopping just there and back. Its only with starting and stopping. If im in a store for 20min or so its cooling down some, but not like it has sat at work for 8-10hrs, its kinda inbetween. And then do that 2-3 times more it gets worse. Being thats its just my commuter I dont want to take it to a shop and have them hunt for the problem at this point, so thought I'd ask here and see if someone has had something similar.
