Default Transmission cooler line leak

Hi,

I was wondering if someone might have advice on how to solve my problem. I have a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire GT and I replaced the transmission cooler lines today due to a leak at one of the rubber to steel connections. My problem now is that the flared end with the threaded connector at the rad is leaking. I tightened it very well but not the point of over doing it and it still leaks, should I be putting something on the threads before threading it on??

Thanks on advance,

Steven

No need to put anything on the threads, the seal comes from the faired end. Take it off and clean up the surfaces real good, also look for any damage, it might have been bent a little when you were working on it.
