Today I got some unexpected money (YA!) so I went ahead and put plates and insurance on the car. I went to charge the AC today and noticed that the compressor doesn't turn on.
What do I do about this? I checked the fuse and the relay. They're ok.
Also, when I started it this afternoon... it ran like garbage for a while. I shut it off after a couple of minutes and restarted it and got an SES light. (I love OBD2) The code was bank2 lean. Hmm... Either way, the engine is running fine now.
So what should I do about this AC compressor? I don't want to buy a new one but the wife NEEDS air conditioning.

if the system was COMPLETELY dry or very close, the compressor won't kick on to keep it from burning up.
what you need to do is to start filling it with refrigerant, then jump the relay terminals to force it on and continue filling. when you've added the proper amount, remove the jumper wire and plug the relay back in. if all goes well, it should now cycle on and off normally.
keep in mind you're supposed to vacuum the lines to boil off and remove any moisture.

When I hooked the gauge up to the low pressure side, It read 0
Do you know off-hand which posts I jump on the relay? I'm sure I could figure it out if I stare at the relay diagram long enough!

hmm... alldata is only showing the normal relay numberings...
take a look at this: you should be able to connect either of the two terminals to this one and have it engage.
the relays i marked with C are for the cooling fans, for proper orientation.
