the way to tell the general heat range of a plug if to look how far the insulator and electrode stick out compared to where the threads end. the longer it is, the hotter the plug.

this is generally true, which is why when in doubt, install stockers(or updated stockers), but the turbo factored in, the LG5 is in no way low-performance from the factory. 8PSI with 8.8:1 compression will make plenty of heat.

and DAMNIT! i forgot to check the plugs and went right out and drove the car today. It ran perfectly too, which makes this whole thing exceptionally odd. It didn't knock or anything, it ran like nothing ever happened.
I don't know what it was that made me loose spark, but I think I'll be ok as long as I don't drive the car for 4 hours straight.

I have a TG160 chip.
It'* a sad day for the TGP... I drove the car tonight for about 10 minutes and it'* knocking pretty loudly.
I'm not even going to stress out about this 3.1. I have a LP3100 (LG waiting to go in it. This will just give me some more motivation!

I dunno, but if you feel like helping me with a tune...
I think I'll keep the boost level low on the lg8, like 4psi. It'* already a pretty stout motor.
I have to figure out how I'm going to get the kickdown cable on the 56mm throttle body. Everything else should be pretty straight-forward.

find an earlier TB(93-95 3100 come to mind, though the LH0 TBs are basically guaranteed to have it) that has the kickdown stuff on it already, transfer all necessary parts, PROFIT? i'm not sure what kinds of issues will come up due to the TB linkage being on the wrong side though....
and 4PSI is likely as far as a T25 can go anyway on a motor that can breathe as well as the LP3100... i'll have to make a graph and see.
