Default What is tri-link suspension?

I was looking at the VIN decoder for my car and I saw this:
Independent MacPherson strut front suspension
Independent tri-link rear suspension
I know I have rear struts, and I know how MacPherson struts work, but what the heck is tri-link suspension? That'* a new term to me. How does it work?
