Default loosing oil in 2001 grand prix

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8 non-supercharged engine. Im not sure if this goes in with my other thread i have going about leaking coolent from under my water pump.
My car has around 147,000 miles on it and about a month after changing the oil i will check the oil level and its down about 3/4 of a quart of oil. I notice oil right above the water pump. It sits in a lip that is under the intake manifold i believe thats what its called. Any ideas on how i go about figuring out where its coming from and how to fix it?

Right above the water pump? Only place I could think of where it would leak from would be the lower intake manifold.

GM has said for years that a quart every 3,000 miles is expected.

I have a 2001 3.8L SC and it has gone through a quart every 1000-15000 miles for the past 5+ years. No signs of oil leaking, no signs of oil burning, and no running issues. I just add a quart when it needs it.

On a side not, I recentley switched to Shell Rotella (the cheap stuff sold at AutoZone) and my oil consuption stopped. I only have one oil change with the Rotella, and it is likely a fluke, but none the less worth mentioning.

I think it was just been burning oil. Sence I replaced the collant elbows I wiped the area where I thought it was oil but i think it was just the collant from dripping from the broken elbow i eplaced today. I will keep and eye on it the next coupld days..
