Default 01 SSEI wont crank after checking fuses

My ssei wont crank after checking fuses. When I turn the key everything lights up and security light goes off. When cranking, nothing. Lights go off in car. I hear a click at fuse box under backseat. All connections are tight and clean. The car doesnt even attempt to crank. I even tried jumping without success. I parked the car and checked the fuses. In that 10 minutes it went from running to nothing. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I was checking the fuses for another issue on the climate control. Just trying to get her running now.

sometimes the fuses and relays get loose at the sockets, sounds like you may have bumped something that was getting loose,

what did you use to check them? ive seen test lights take fuses out..most professional use test lights are advertised as "low impedence" meaning it wont take too much current (amperage) to light the bulb..just an idea

Fuse 29 in the rear seat fuse panel is for the ignition switch. Fuse 33 is for the HVAC. They are next to each other (on an angle). You were working on HVAC and you are now having a problem with starting. Chances are you bumped, dislodged and/or damaged fuse 29.

I would start with looking at fuse 29. If the fuse is good, pull it and use a multi meter to see if you are getting voltage across the contacts.
