Default 02 bonnie trans?

Hi,
My 02 bonnie has 120,000 I had a newer Trans install with 30,000 on it, said and done cost me $1400,

After about 6 months now when the car is cold it shifts perfect, when the car is warmed up to normal it shifts hard, has anyone else had this trouble what did you do to fix it?
Thanks

Does it shift hard in all gears? Cleaning the shift modulator generally helps harsh shifts. You can get just about all info you need by going to tech info, then choose performance and find installing a shift kit. It will explain how to get to the modulator and how to remove it and clean it.

Scan for codes and if you have a P1811, you will need to replace your pressure control solenoid.

Do the shift kit as Dan suggested first. It is really easy.

If the problem is the modulator then no, it shouldn't hurt anything, but I would still fix it as soon as possible. The modulator is like a shock absorber. It'* a piston that moves and a spring builds up pressure to engauge the clutches. If that piston can't move or moves tight it will shift harsh. A light sanding of the cylinder walls will make the piston move smoothly.

Dan calls it a modulator but it is actually the accumulator body and you will have to remove the bottom pan to remove it.
