Okay to start I don't know much about cars at all, but I have a 2000 bonneville and a few problems have come up so I wanted to see if anyone could help me out here.

1) I added oil to my car, but the oil % on the dash isn't changing back to 100%, the reset button doesn't work like it used to.

2) cig lighter in the front doesn't work along with the mph that reflects off the windshield in front of the driver, a few people said this is probably the fuse?

3) main thing that has been bothering me is this weird high pitch sound that sounds like a remote control car almost, but gets louder the more i hit the gas. when I'm not gasing it though there is a weird static type sound coming out of the passenger side speaker(I THINK) which has also been fading in and out frequently. I have my ipod connected to my headunit through a USB and when I disconnect it these sounds go away immediately.

The oil % on your DIC shows remaining oil life, not oil level. When you change the oil and want to reset it to 100% bring it up on the DIC and hold the reset button until it changes. You may have to hold it for 30 seconds, but give it extra time if it does not reset.

Check all your fuses. IIRC the HUD and the cigarette lighter are on the same fuse.

As for the whistling, do you have an afer market sound system in the car?

I held reset pretty long, but I'll try it again. As for the speakers I have the bose system that came with it. Thank you for the help!
